Seuss Week Penny War Donation
Launch the media gallery 1 playerOn March 28th, the elementary students presented their checks to the Diller Park Project and Odell Library Project for money raised during their Dr. Seuss Week Penny War earlier in the month. Students raised a total of $1,147.11 and were able to give $573.56 to each organization. Joyce Kostal presented for the Odell Library and shared their mission, showed where they were at with their project, and informed students their money would go towards three pieces of furniture and books. Beth Roelfs presented for the Diller Community Foundation and shared how the Park Project came to be, how close they are to finishing, and informed students their money may be spent on games to play with at the park or a bike rack for kids to use when they come to the park. Each organization will also place a donor placard noting the students' contributions somewhere on their site. Students enjoyed hearing how their contributions would help each project!
