Miss Reba Hestermann
My name is Reba Hestermann and I am the 5th grade teacher, 6th grade science teacher and the high school head volleyball coach. Before making my way to Diller-Odell Public Schools, I taught 4th-6th grade at Crofton Community Schools for 3 years. I was born and raised in Sterling, Nebraska. At Sterling Public Schools I was a very active student. I was involved in all sports, clubs, and activities. I graduated in 2011. Then I attended Doane College for my undergraduate degree, where I received an Elementary and Middle school teaching degree. While at Doane I was very busy as well with playing college softball and being a student athletic trainer for the football and basketball teams. In December 2017, I received my Masters Degree from Doane University in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in reading intervention. As a teacher and coach I believe in active, hands-on learning. I also make sure that my classroom and gym is a safe environment for discovery and exploration. My main goal as a teacher is to help each student grow as an individual person so they are ready to be successful in life and the world around them. I am so excited to be a part of the teaching staff here at Diller-Odell Public Schools. |
