Beginning of the Year Information from our School Nurse
Reminder to all incoming Kindergartners and 7th graders… The school requires a physical completed by a physician before school starts. At this time, they will review the required immunizations with you. Unless your Kindergarten or 7th grader has already had their required immunizations, they will be required to get these prior to school starting. These can be completed at the Gage County Immunization Clinic 402-223-2366. This clinic also has the ability to check to make sure your child is up to date with their immunizations to keep them healthy.
Kindergartners are also required to have a vision screening performed, most times this can be completed at the physical. If not, it must be completed by an optometrist. If you need help finding someone to assist with this, please reach out to me.
All students that are planning to play sports in 2020-2021 school year must have a sports physical completed by a physician prior to practice starting. If this isn’t completed, you cannot participate
With physicals, students get caught up on their immunizations, providers can detect problems that may affect health and learning, and families are educated on ways to stay safe and healthy.
If you have any questions or concerns or need help making appointments for your child please reach out to me.
