Block the Door, Fill the Seats Brings in Food Pantry Items

It's become a tradition; one Friday in January is not a typical school day at Diller Odell High School.  Friday, January 18th students brought in bags and boxes full of goods to donate to the Food Pantry in Wymore.  The object of the day-if students can block classroom doors and fill gymnasium seats a day, they will be rewarded with a day of fun activities.  Students rose to the challenge and gathered 1,540 pounds of food that was delivered to Wymore.  The fun day included board games, tailgate games, Kahoot and Hungry Hippos in the gym.  Unfortunately, the weather cut the day a little short, but the planned Dodge Ball tournament and movie party will be rescheduled for another day.

Student Council, under the direction of Mrs. Becker, organized the day.

Great job students and staff!  When everyone works together, we can make a difference!  #griffinpride
