2022-2023 Assessment and Accountability Reports

The Nebraska Department of Education released the 2022-2023 Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS) results and the Accountability for a Quality Education System Today and Tomorrow (AQuESTT) classifications today. Both reports provide insight into how students are performing academically on Nebraska’s state standards.

NSCAS English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics and Science are rigorous assessments with high expectations for post-secondary readiness. NSCAS ELA and Mathematics are given in grades three through eight. NSCAS Science assessments are given in fifth and eighth grades and Nebraska third year cohort students take the ACT assessment.

Data collected from the administration of the NSCAS, along with other measurements, is used on a regular basis by Diller-Odell staff to identify and support students with effective learning strategies and interventions.
