Diller-Odell Welcomes Tanner Nun as the New Ag Teacher

Hello,

My name is Tanner Nun and I am beyond excited to be serving as the Agriculture Educator at Diller-Odell Public Schools! I grew up on a family farm southeast of Geneva, Nebraska, where I was able to become passionate about agriculture, specifically corn, soybeans, and poultry. I graduated from Fillmore Central High School with a passion for FFA and explaining to others the importance of agriculture.

After high school, I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where I am finishing the completion of my bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education. During my time at UNL, I was heavily involved with the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, where I gained most of my leadership and organizational experience. I served as Philanthropy chair, where I was able to organize a fundraising event, which we were able to raise over $5,000 to provide FFA jackets for members unable to afford one. I also organized numerous community service events such as Adopt-A-Highway, raking leaves for the neighborhood, and assisting the University with homecoming set-up and take-down. These experiences I feel will aid towards Diller-Odell’s FFA and community involvement.

I am currently student-teaching with Randolph Public Schools, in the northeast corner of Nebraska, where I have been able to gain valuable and in-depth experience in laboratory-based classes, as well as heavy FFA involvement. This experience at Randolph will be beneficial, as I use this experience to motivate and heavily involve students to be successful in lab-based courses as well as in FFA.

I look forward to connecting with the Diller-Odell community and making a meaningful impact and difference.
