4.2. Facility Update
Superintendent Meyerle reported that buildings were in good shape and no major projects are scheduled for his final year at school. Any future projects will be for the next leadership team to consider.
5. Superintendent Items
5.1. Superintendent Report
Superintendent Meyerle reported on the budget process. No firm numbers will be available until valuations are received from the counties by August 20. He did report that he has no plan on the "pink postcards" going out, and no need to attend the "joint public" meeting in September. Attendance in the "joint meeting" is only necessary if a school goes above its allowed tax request.
The law does change in 2027, and all schools will be required to attend a "joint public" meeting in July of 2027. Superintendent Meyerle is unsure what information will be provided for a July meeting as valuations are not reported until August. He anticipates it will be a meeting that schools provide a budget plan without any firm information.
