Mr. Garcia's Science
There has been a lot going on in the Science room this year. The Biology class just finished up a lab to learn about cells and their parts. The class created cells out of food and labeled the parts. They then discussed their cell with classmates and discussed how the cell works and what parts are being used.
The 8th-grade exploratory class is busy learning about space and space travel. They will soon be putting rockets together and shooting them off.
The STEM club is gearing up for another fun year. We will be holding our first meeting in October to do a Halloween STEM activity. The club is also getting ready for their trip to Orlando this summer to explore the world of STEM in the Orlando area. The trip will include classes at Walt Disney World and the Kennedy Space Center.
