18-21 Educational Transitional Program
Diller-Odell has started an 18-21 educational transitional program. Currently, there are three students participating in this program. The program runs Tuesday - Thursday. In the morning the students work on academic skills, run the Brew Crew business, and participate in Art with the general education students. In the afternoon the students then go over to the elementary and help do custodial skills. In the future, we are hoping to incorporate the students helping in the classrooms and working with students. The students also do a variety of activities throughout the week. Some of the activities they do on a weekly basis are cleaning guinea pig cages, transporting products between cafeteria staff from Odell to Diller, and doing all the recycling for both buildings. We are planning on participating in community job shadows and services projects in the near future.
