 1. Open Meeting

1.1. Roll Call
The absence of Kolin Kotas was excused.

1.2. Recognize the Open Meetings Act information

1.3. Approve minutes of last meeting.  Motion to approve minutes of last meeting Passed with a motion by Angie Clifford and a second by Adam Engelman.

2. Instruction and Related Items

2.1. Student Report
A written report was provided that highlighted recent student activities including; District Music, Track, and the FFA Banquet.

Congratulations to Alex Wenzbauer who earned a first place trophy at the Cornhusker Trapshoot.

2.2. Principal Report
Principal Mezger reported on assessments, student awards, the 2023-2024 class schedule.  He also provided information on the first days of the upcoming fall schedule.

2.3. Review Policy #5052 School Wellness Policy
The Board reviewed Policy #5052 on School Wellness

3. Personnel Items
Superintendent Meyerle reported that Marcia Duerksen is retiring from her paraprofessional position.  Mrs. Duerksen was dedicated to the position for 23 years.  The Board thanks her for her service and wishes her well in retirement.

4.3. Accept Milk bid from Hiland Dairy Foods as part of the Southeastern Milk Cooperative.  Motion to approve milk bid from Hiland Dairy Passed with a motion by Adam Engelman and a second by Kasey Murphy.

Superintendent Meyerle summarized the current legislative session and bills that could affect the district regarding school finance and student discipline.

6.1. Pay bills as presented.  Motion to approve bills as presented. Passed with a motion by Dusty Duis and a second by Kasey Murphy.

President Kostal adjourned the meeting at 6:45pm.  The next regular meeting is scheduled for June 12, 2023 a 7:00pm at the elementary school in Diller.
