2.1. Student Report
Alli Engelman gave an update on student activities including basketball, Speech, the Block the Door food drive, FFA, and FBLA.  Congratulations to the Speech team for winning the MUDECAS Speech contest!

A special thanks to Mrs. Becker and all of the students for their efforts in collecting donated items for the Block the Door drive.

 

2.2. Principal Report
Principal Mezger provided a report which included information on the start of second semester, upcoming teacher inservice, upcoming ACT testing and Career Academy classes.

 

2.3. Adopt 2021-2022 school calendar

Motion to approve school calendar for 2021-22 Passed with a motion by Adam Engelman and a second by Kolin Kotas.

2.4. Discuss Senior Sneak schedule
 

Superintendent Meyerle reported that the Seniors would be allowed the traditional Sneak Day.  More information to come, but the class will be expected to stay in the state of Nebraska.

Superintendent Meyerle reported that he would accept a proposal from Black Diamond  to do some edging work on top of the old gym at the HS, and a proposal from Lange Painting to paint the exterior of the south side of the old gym.

 

5. Superintendent Items

 

5.1. Superintendent Report
Superintendent Meyerle gave an update on the school and COVID.  He reported that there have been very few cases or quarantines involving staff and students to begin the second semester.

He also noted that out of 15 slots of schools drawn for employees to receive the COVID vaccine, Diller-Odell was drawn 8th out of 15 slots.  He hopes to have our staff, whom wants the vaccine, to receive it in early April if not before.  He expects approximately 49 of 52 individuals on staff to want to be vaccinated.

Superintendent Meyerle noted that he and President Kostal would be meeting with Kayla Schnuelle regarding an upcoming Board workshop.  Mrs. Schnuelle will facilitate the workshop.  Discussion topics will include: busing, curriculum, facilities and staffing.

7.2. Discuss administrative salaries for 2021-2022
Superintendent Meyerle presented information for the Board to consider regarding salaries for he and Mr. Mezger.  The Board will review and take possible action at the March meeting.

 

7.3. Committee Reports
Superintendent Meyerle will gather information on the upcoming NRCSA conference in Kearney for the Board, and register those interested in attending the conference in March.
