18-21 Years Old Program

On November 15, 2023 the 18-21 year old students traveled to SCC-Milford to join the CRAVE Program to celebrate World Kindness Day.  The CRAVE Program is a  is the ESU 6 / SCC - Milford Transition Program that offers a variety of practice opportunities for secondary students with disabilities, ages 18-21. CRAVE is appropriate for students leaving 9-12 programming that need continued focus on the areas of:
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Independent Living, if appropriate

All services take place at the host sites of SCC - Milford and ESU 6 - Milford Office with age-appropriate peers. Young adults rotate through multiple job sites, work on academic skills, practice independent living skills, and connect with agencies that may continue with them into adult life.

Project CRAVE application is open to any student who has completed 9-12 programming and has not graduated with a high school diploma (social graduation may have occurred). Application and interview for students can take place by contacting your home school and Project CRAVE. The students arrived at SCC-Milford campus and ate lunch with the students from the CRAVE Program.  They then joined in games and activities that were created by the CRAVE students.  They met and built relationships with other students their age.  The students thought that next year we could do some fun activities like this at our home school Diller Odell and possibly SCC-Beatrice.
