STEM Club Has Arrived!!

Diller-Odell Public Schools has recently started a STEM club. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The club will meet once a month to complete activities related to careers in STEM. This club is open to all 7-12 students at Diller-Odell. At our first meeting, there were 31 total members in attendance. Students were challenged to look at what makes our community unique. They build gingerbread houses of buildings in and around the Diller and Odell communities. This project was a part of the #GingerbreadSTEM project.

At the meeting students also learned of an opportunity to travel to Orlando in the summer of 2024. During this trip, students will visit Kennedy Space Center for a tour and also Walt Disney World. Students will be involved in classes and activities that are STEM related at both sites during the trip. If students are interested in going on the trip, they need to contact either Mr. Garcia, Mr. Larsen, or Mr. Nun for more details. The next meeting will be at the end of January. We look forward to this upcoming adventure.
