3d Printed Inventions

Mr. Larsen's Digital Literacy class was hard at work being inventors.  Their task was to come up with an invention and design it using a program called Tinkercad that would make a 3d model of that product.  They then were able to 3d print a prototype is see if their inventions would work or not.  The students were also tasked with figuring out the cost to print the product as each gram of plastic would cost $.03, and also decide how much they would like to sell their products for.  This was a good opportunity to learn some STEM concepts dealing with technology design as well as math in economics. Some of the inventions were a picture frame, jewelry holder, fidget spinner, game controller holder, as well as a desk phone holder, and others.
