1. Open Meeting

Angie Clifford's absence was excused.

2. Instruction and Related Items

2.1. Principal Report
Principal Mezger reported on the three days of staff in-service and the schedule for the first days of school.

3. Personnel Items
Superintendent Meyerle noted that all staff positions were filled.  Kaitlyn Ruhge was hired as an additional Para at the elementary.  She will help teachers serve grade K-2 students where more re-direction is needed.

Superintendent Meyerle noted the completion of summer projects.  Two projects were yet to be completed.  The backstop at the ball field in Odell was being repaired this week due to wind damage.  The student lockers for the elementary will be installed Sept. 22-23 when there are no classes.

Superintendent reported on changes to the budget process.  He will be able to provide more information at the August 24 Board meeting on budget planning.

Motion to approve bills as presented. Passed with a motion by Toni Landenberger and a second by Adam Engelman.

President Kostal adjourned the meeting at 8:12pm.  The Board will meet at 6:00pm on August 24 for a Special meeting on Americanism and Budget Planning.  The annual Budget Hearing will be held Sept. 12 at 7:00pm.  The regular Board meeting will begin at the conclusion of the Budget Hearing on Sept. 12.
