Students Plan for the Future

Several students began the 2nd quarter by completing a career research project.  Each student completed a career aptitude test on the following website https://www.123test.com/career-test/index.php. The career aptitude test gave the students insight into their job personality.  The results of this career test provided them with a list of professions and occupations that fit their career personality.  Students then had the option to select one of the suggested careers to research, or if they had their own career interest in mind they were able to research that instead.  

Students then visited a variety of websites including www.getmyfuture.org to research their career interest.  Students used a career research worksheet to help them record information.  Students learned how much schooling is required, what the working conditions are like, what the average salary would be, and other occupations that are related to the career they selected.  Lastly, they viewed a video about the occupation to see the different skills needed for the job, and the type of work they would be doing.
