Oct. 15 COVID Update from Mr. Meyerle

We now have our first positive case of COVID-19 in our buildings among students.  We will continue the safety protocols of washing hands, sanitizing, disinfecting, distancing as much as possible, and wearing masks in the buildings and buses.

We cannot identify the student who tested positive for the virus because of privacy laws. The individual is not at school. The Public Health Department will be in touch with any family for any necessary contact tracing.  However, we have determined several students that will need to quarantine based upon this case and not wearing masks for a period of time.

The mask requirement will eliminate the risk of entire groups needing to quarantine.  We want to avoid the school wide learning from home as was put upon us last spring.  Thanks for your cooperation as we move forward.
