State Speech Success and Season Recap
The Griffin Speech Team qualified four team members for the NSAA Championships Friday, March 22nd at UNK. The team competed exceptionally well, brining home a seventh place team finish and three individual medals.
Stephanie placed 2nd in Extemp
Melina placed 5th in Extemp
Ashely placed 6th in Serious
Madeline also competed in Informative.
Only 18 contestants in each event can qualify for the state championship in class D-1, so even getting to compete is a huge honor. Congratulations to the entire team on a memorable season!

The Griffin Speech Team won the D1-1 Districts in Auburn Monday, March 11th! Four individuals also qualified for state in Kearney on March 22nd.

Even though the speech season ended from many team members, the progress and growth that each individual team member made throughout the season is remarkable! The Speech team competed at the Pioneer Conference Meet Monday, March 4th. The team tied for 4th Place and seven event medals were won. The medalists were:

4th Place Madeline in Informative
4th Place Kelsay in Persuasive

The team award, the Golden Rooster, was won by the OID team.
The Griffins will travel to Auburn Monday, March 11th for District competition.
