Tiffany Schoenrock Joins Diller Odell Staff
Hello Diller-Odell! My name is Tiffany Schoenrock and I am extremely excited to be your new high school music director! I can’t wait to meet all of you and become a “Griffin.”
I was born and raised in Canton, South Dakota. I graduated from Canton High School in 1999. Go C-Hawks! After I graduated high school, my parents and younger sister and brother moved to Fairbury, Nebraska when my dad received a job transfer. I stayed in South Dakota and attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion for two years. I decided I didn’t like being so far away from my family so I moved to Fairbury and finished my college career at Peru State College.
My brother is in college in Minnesota studying to be an art teacher. My sister and her family live in England. Her husband is in the Air Force and stationed at Mildenhall Air Force Base.
My family moved back to South Dakota after I was married. I love spending as much time with them as I can and go back to South Dakota lots during the summer and on any long weekend I can!
I’m married to a farmer and we have two little boys. Kenrick is 6 and will be in first grade next year at Fairbury. Barron is 2 and keeps everyone on their toes and copies whatever his brother does. We live on a farm west of Fairbury and mainly grow corn and beans and raise cattle. We are an outdoorsy family and love to camp in the summer and go boating. The boys are also very into hunting and fishing.
Besides music, my favorite hobbies are reading and traveling and being able to do anything outside. A good afternoon for me would be sitting on my deck reading a book while the boys play in the yard.
I have been teaching K-12 music at Hanover, Kansas for the last eight years. I will miss all of my students so much but am ready to take on a new adventure with you all. I am so fortunate that I have a job that I love. I truly love teaching and being able to play music every day is a dream. I look forward to a new start and the 2013/2014 school year!
