Freshmen Geometry
Freshmen geometry students did an activity today dealing with job skills and the similarity with that and school habits/attitudes. We discussed attributes that bosses/managers look for in employees. Do they also relate to school? Being on time, doing your job, staying off your cell phones while you're working, attitude, appearance.... we listed quite a few. Talked about how we, as teachers, are trying to teach them good habits & responsibilities for their future and the working world. I had students look at the list and rate themselves. I think the students did a great job and understood the importance of building good habits now.
