Input Requested Concerning 6-Man Football

The Administration and the Board have discussed playing 6-man football in 2024 and 2025.   

Diller-Odell would continue to play 8-man football in JH in 2024 and 2025, preferably in a continued coop with Southern.  If Diller-Odell would play 6-man football in 2024 and 2025, the school would seek a junior varsity schedule in 6-man.

The school's declaration of playing either 8-man or 6-man football is due to the NSAA by November 30, 2023.  Team schedules are set by the NSAA.  Should the school change to 6-man football, it would be on the November Board meeting agenda as an action item.

The Board would like to hear any input patrons have on the matter.  Patrons should contact Board members directly to share their input.  Any change would only affect the next two seasons at this point.  A new classification declaration would be due in November of 2025 for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
