Junior High Lady Griffins Basketball
The Junior High School Lady Griffins basketball team recently finished their season, which began with their first practice over Xmas break. There were 13 total players and 1 student-manager who made up the team this year. Five girls were 8th Graders while eight girls were 7th Graders.
During the year the A-Team had an overall record of 4 wins & 6 losses, with a couple of games going down to the wire where the Lady Griffins lost by only a possession or two. The B-Team’s record was 1 win & 5 losses. The girls played in two tournaments this year, winning 3rd Place at both the Sterling Tournament and our own home tournament in Odell to close out the season. Both teams always played very hard in every game and much improvement took place as the season went on.
The JH Lady Griffins were coached by John Mohr. 7th Grader Lillian Welch served as the team’s student manager.
