A New Type of Learning
The Department of Education has an 18-21 age program that consists of specialized and individualized instruction for students that qualify for and use special education resources in their school district. The ESU 5 Transition Program is excited that they have been able to help facilitate activities with Diller/Odell School District and Southeast Community College to give qualifying students work-based learning experiences in a peer setting. These work-based learning opportunities help students learn employment skills while exploring areas of individual interest. Andrew is working at Great Western Dining at the SCC-Beatrice campus. Andrew enjoys working in this environment and occasionally runs into classmates that attend SCC. We are so proud of Andrew!!
