Jefferson County Spelling Bee
On Tuesday, October 5th, 5th-8th grade students traveled to Fairbury for the Jefferson County Spelling Bee. There the students participated against other students from Fairbury, Tri County, Meridian, and St. Paul's Lutheran Schools. The students had to spell 10 words per round and once they missed 10 words they were out of the competition.
All of the Diller-Odell students did very well with honors going Jayna placing 4th in the 5th and 6th grade division and in the 7th and 8th grade division Berkelee placed 9th and Jacob placed 1st! Because of his first-place finish, Jacob has qualified for the State Competition to be held later in this school year. Congratulations to all of the spellers on a job well done!

7th and 8th Participants: Clara, Francine, Kelsey, Sidney, Jacob, Aidan, Berkelee, Cale, Peyton and Jack
