Elementary Celebrates Dr. Seuss Week
Dr. Seuss Week started at the elementary building with a visit from the Cat in the Hat. He read Gustav the Goldfish and then visited each classroom. Students dressed as an animal or brought stuffed animals to school. Everyone dressed for the beach on Tuesday. Randy Sandman read I Can Catch 30 Tigers Today! On Wednesday, which was wear your favorite team’s clothing day, Sharon Gydesen read And To Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street. Everyone wore necklaces, bracelets, beads, and bling clothing on Thursday. Mr. Meyerle read Yertle the Turtle to the assembly. Friday morning’s reader was Kay Theye, who read The Glunk That Got Thunk. There was lots of red as it was Husker Red Day. The week was concluded with a movie and popcorn in each room.
