Week in Review-Griffin Sports
The past week was quite successful for Diller-Odell sports! It was a big week for the volleyball team, as it was finally time for the Pioneer Conference Tournament. They started strong on Monday night, beating the Southern Raiders easily in two sets. On Tuesday they once again triumphed, this time beating Falls City Sacred Heart. Winning both of these games meant that the girls were on the way to the championship! On Thursday they played their sub-district rivals, Johnson-Brock. While they fought hard to the end, the Lady Griffins, unfortunately, fell to the Eagles. The girls ended up as the Pioneer Conference runner-ups. On the same night, 1 hour and 40 minutes away, the Diller-Odell football team was also playing hard against Meridian. The Griffins were able to beat the Mustangs decisively, the score ending at 42-20. The football team’s season record has qualified them for state playoffs! Their first game will be in Osmond at 5 pm on Thursday. School will be let out early so students can make the 3 and a half hour trek to support the team. We hope to see anyone who can make it at the game!
