Reba Hestermann-Fifth Grade
My name is Miss Reba Hestermann. This will be my 4th year teaching but my 1st year as a Griffin! Before making my way to Diller-Odell Public Schools, I was a 5th grade teacher with an emphasis in science and volleyball coach at Crofton Community Schools. I really enjoyed my time there but it was time for me to come back closer to home.
I was born and raised in Sterling, Nebraska. At Sterling Public Schools I was a very active student. I was involved in all sports and many other clubs and activities.
I graduated in 2011, and then attended Doane College for my undergraduate degree, which I received an Elementary and Middle school teaching degree. While at Doane I was very busy as well with playing college softball and being a student athletic trainer for the football and basketball team. In December 2017, I received my Masters Degree from Doane University in Curriculum and Instruction.
In my free time I like to exercise and be outside. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and family as well. I like being around my family farm too. You have heard lots of personal information about me but I have not told you how I am as a teacher. I believe in active, hands on learning. I also make sure that my classroom is a safe environment for discovery and exploration. My main goal as a teacher is help each student grow as an individual.
I am so excited to start my teaching journey here at Diller-Odell Public Schools. Attached below is a short introduction video about me. Check it out!

Dylan Hinrichs-Sixth Grade
I grew up in Giltner, Nebraska which is right off the interstate between Aurora and Grand Island. I have two younger siblings - Shelby, who is attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and Dayne, who will be a senior this upcoming year at Giltner High School. My mom is a business teacher at Giltner High School and an important part of why I wanted to be a teacher. My dad works for Pioneer Seed in Doniphan.
After high school I went to Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska and earned an Associates of Arts Degree. I then attended Wayne State College and received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree with an endorsement in Elementary Education.
Along with my position as the 6th Grade teacher, I will be the head boys’ basketball coach and a junior high football coach. I am excited for this opportunity.
I plan on being successful inside and outside the classroom and ready to be a part of the Diller-Odell community.
