Art Classes on the Praire
Homestead National Monument invited area 5th-12th graders to attend "Art Classes on the Prairie" in honor of the late artist Jerry Davison. Nelson Dungan presented the drawing classes to ten Diller-Odell 7th graders. The students sketched outdoors, drew images from paintings about homesteading, and drew old time everyday objects. All drawing materials and food were provided for the students. The students enjoyed sketching, learning from Mr. Dungan, and meeting Mrs. Davison. The classes were held September 28th and 29th.
