by Renee Hroch
March 06, 2008
On February 9th, 2008 the Diller-Odell Art Club traveled to
Doane College and Lincoln Ne. Students visited the
Gallery
at Doane College to view the Senior Art Show for Ashley
Spitsnogle, a former Diller-Odell graduate. Students
toured
the gallery, visited with Ashley, and enjoyed viewing
Ashley's art work. Professor Terrel spoke to the students
about art classes and careers in art. He also took the
students to visit the art department and view other student
works of art. Following the visit to Doane, Art
Club
members toured the Burkholder Project. This is a group of
studios located in the Haymarket with a gallery in down town
Lincoln NE. Students toured the gallery and spoke to artist
about their work and ideas. Students also saw a Mural of
a
train in the Hay market created by artist with material
from Endicott Brick Yards. A fun time was had by all.
