There was no student report.

Mr. Mezger presented a report that included information on the Continuous Improvement workshop he attended. He also reported on MAP testing data and PT
Conferences.

Superintendent Meyerle provided the Board a draft copy of the 2018-19 school calendar to review.

Mr. Meyerle gave an update on the roof repair and minor facility issues.

Superintendent Meyerle gave an update on the upcoming NASB conference November 16-
17. He also noted the Board negotiation committee will meet with reps of the DOEA on October 12.
The Board discussed the possible new competitive gym project. The Board set a Special Meeting date of November 21, at 7:00pm in the HS gym for a meeting where patrons can ask questions about the possible project.
Reps of CTS Group, a design-build contractor, will be at the meeting to present some possible designs of what a new addition would look like. After the presentation, the Board will invite those with questions to speak.
Superintendent Meyerle noted that the wind farm currently generates approximately $263,000 annually. The amount could be utilized for a large portion of a payment toward a gym for 5-7 years. The Special Building Fund would also be utilized for such a project. The Special Building Fund is a fund for building projects. It cannot be used to pay staff, purchase supplies, technology, buses etc.

President Stohs noted he had sent the Board an updated copy of the school districts valuation which shows the amount of centrally assessed property is in the school district.
