My name is Matthew Andrew Mezger. I was born and raised in Table Rock, NE. I love small towns. Growing up I got the best of both worlds as my dad is from East Rutherford, NJ which is right outside New York and is the home of the New York football Giants. So visiting there to see family is always fun, the small town kid checking out the big city. I earned my Bachelor of Education in Special Education from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and my masters in Educational Leadership from there as well. I have taught for 13 years all in the Public Schools. My first eight years were spent teaching in coaching in Lincoln Public Schools. I taught Special Education and coached basketball and track. My last five years I have spent at HTRS as their Activities/Athletic Director. I also coached basketball and track at HTRS. I have two children that are the love of my life Hudson and Harper. I am engaged to my best friend Julie. I love to spend my free time with my family doing all types of activities from sports to family game nights. My family is my everything. I look forward to being a part of the DOPS family. Go Griffins!!
