My name is Karlee Haecker, and I am ecstatic to be joining the Diller-Odell district as the 3rd grade teacher next year! I graduated from Raymond Central High School in 2014. After graduating high school I went to the University of Nebraska—Lincoln (UNL) to run track and major in Elementary Education and Special Education. I graduated in 2018 with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Special Education. After graduating UNL I attended Doane University to start my Master’s Degree. My first year teaching was spent at Boone Central Elementary School as the K-5 School Counselor and the past three years have been spent at Syracuse Public Schools teaching 2nd grade. Throughout my time at both schools I have coached cross country, basketball, and track.
I grew up moving all over Nebraska, but spent a lot of time at my grandparents’ farms outside of Odell and Holmesville. I grew up in a home full of educators with my dad being a superintendent and my mom being a preschool teacher. I have two younger sisters, Haylee and Rylee. In my free time I love spending time with my friends and family, lifting, traveling, and watching or playing sports.
I look forward to joining the community, getting to know you all, and watching the students grow and flourish as individuals!
