8th Grade JH Quiz Bowl Team earns a 1st Place
The JH Quiz Bowl teams completed on Monday, February 28th at the Thayer Central Invite in Hebron. There were 19 teams that entered the invite so they were randomly separated into 2 pools with both the 7th and 8th grade playing in the same pool. Diller-Odell was put in pool B along with teams from Bruning-Davenport, Tri County, Deshler, Exeter-Milligan, Friend, Hampton, Heartland, Meridian, and Pike Valley. The 7th-grade team went 2-6 on the day while the 8th-grade team went 7-1. The 7th-grade team did give the eventual 1st place Pike Valley their only loss of the day, while the 8th-grade's lone loss came against Tri County. Both teams did extremely well. We would like to thank everyone that came to support both teams at Thayer Central. The JH's next competition is the Pioneer Conference, Monday, March 21st at Friend.
