Digital Citizenship Week
A team of four fifth and sixth grade students-Kailyn, Sidney, Jack and Xavier, with the help of Miss Hestermann, organized activities to celebrate Digital Citizenship Week. They attended the Digital Citizenship Symposium at ESU 5 in Beatrice October 1st. At the symposium, students listened to speakers and had time to plan activities to celebrate Digital Citizenship Week.
The organizers selected a theme for each day and created locker tags and announcements to match. All students were encouraged to dress up to match the day's theme, and teachers showed a short video with more information about that day's topic.
Tuesday: What’s your digital footprint?: Crazy socks day/ Different shoes
Wednesday: Highlight and Cite sources: Neon Day
Thursday: Stop Cyberbullying on the Spot: Wear dots
Friday : Don’t Hide Online: Camouflage
Thank you to the organizers, Miss Hestermann, and everyone who participated!
