My name is John Denner and I am the Title I Teacher at Diller-Odell Elementary. I am also the high school girls basketball assistant coach and full-time bus route driver.  I live in Diller with my wife, Cheryl.  We have three children Hayley, Mallory, and Peyton. When not teaching or coaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. 

I began my teaching career at Diller where I taught 6th grade for five years and coached high school girls basketball and volleyball. Upon leaving Diller, I taught at North Central Elementary in Haddam, Kansas. While there, I taught 6th through 8th grade Math and Social Studies. I was also the 6th through 8th grade P.E. teacher, athletic director, 8th-grade class sponsor, and coach of junior high football, boys and girls basketball, and track. 

After leaving North Central, I taught at Southern Elementary for fifteen years. While at Southern, I taught 2nd grade for eleven years. For the last four years I was there, I was the Title I Teacher/Reading Coach. I also coached junior high and high school sports while at Southern. The sports I coached were high school volleyball as head coach, high school golf as assistant coach, junior high football, and junior high boys basketball as assistant coach.  

I am very happy to be at Diller-Odell Schools. I enjoy working with the students, staff, administration, parents, and patrons. I am honored to be at Diller-Odell Schools. Go Griffins!
