Mrs. Susan Meyer
|I grew up on a farm in the Bruning area and graduated from Bruning High School. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree and Library Media Endorsement from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
I began my teaching career at Riverton Public School in 1978 where I taught Reading and English in grades 5-8. After getting married and moving to the Diller area in 1980, I began teaching kindergarten and was the K-12 librarian at Diller Community Schools and am now with the Diller-Odell Schools where I am currently the K-12 librarian, keyboarding teacher for grades 2-6, and Division II Reading Classic coach.
Over the years I have been pep club/cheerleading sponsor, and junior class sponsor.
My husband, Neil, and I live on a farm near Diller. We have 3 children. Nicole, a UNL graduate is an administrative assistant with Duncan Aviation. She lives with her husband, Jose, and daughters, Lilyana and Alyvia, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Jose owns and operates L & A Pressure Cleaning. Tad and his wife Emily, both graduates of Peru State College, live in Beatrice. Tad is employed with BNSF Railroad and Emily with the Department of Labor. They have one daughter, Harper. Courtney is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University and is currently employed with Eyecare Specialties. Her husband, Kyle, works on a hog farm and they live in Pickrell, Nebraska. They have twin sons, Hudson and Aiden.
My hobbies include spending time with my family and friends, watching sporting events, attending concerts, camping, reading, golfing, and traveling.
