My name is Matthew Andrew Mezger. I was born and raised in Table Rock, NE. I love small towns. I earned my Bachelor of Education in Special Education from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and my masters in Educational Leadership from there as well. My first eight years were spent teaching in coaching in Lincoln Public Schools. I taught Special Education and coached basketball and track. My next five years I spent at HTRS as their Activities/Athletic Director. I also coached basketball and track at HTRS. I am also the commissioner of the Pioneer Conference. Currently I am the principal at DOPS. One of my favorite sayings is “the two things in life you are in total control over are your attitude and your effort, so choose a positive attitude and give maximum effort” I have two children that are the love of my life Hudson and Harper. I am married to my best friend Julie. I love to spend my free time with my family doing all types of activities from sports to family game nights. My family is my everything. I love being a part of the DOPS family, and I love being your principal. Go Griffins!!
