Third Grade Field Trip Fun
The 3rd graders enjoyed a field trip to Memorial Stadium and the Nebraska State Capitol. First, they learned a lot about the Huskers, including a tunnel walk and they even got to run the football field. They then soaked up the sun while having a picnic. After lunch, students worked together with parents on a Scavenger Hunt around the Capitol. A special surprise was meeting both Senator Dorn and Senator Brandt. They were even introduced to all Senators in the Unicameral. Finally, they stopped at Sonic for a cool treat before heading back to school.
