FFA Community Garden
This year the Diller Odell FFA Chapter took on the adventure of a raising a garden. During last school year a few FFA members helped take down the fences and turn the old baseball diamond into our garden. The produce was planted during the school year and maintained in the summer. The students planted tomatoes (red, pink, yellow, cherry), peppers (jalapeno, habanero, bell, red knight), eggplant, broccoli, potatoes, onions, cucumbers, squash, sweet corn, and zucchini. Over the summer each of the 45 FFA members took weekly turns taking care of the garden. They watered, pulled weeds, and picked produce during their shifts. All of the fresh produce went out to community members and FFA families. If you are in need of any fresh produce we still have a lot of tomatoes and a few other items. Please find a FFA member to contact if you are interested in any of the produce we have left.
