First Semester Art

K-12 1st semester art has been busy and fun!  K-6th grade started the year off with making images related to the eclipse of the sun.  6th grade used a double image of the Moon overlapping the sun with warm and cool colors.  The end results are striking.  Art Club held its annual 3rd Grade Vincent van Gogh Starry Night Coloring Contest.  The following students received colorful markers for their efforts:  1st, Langdon, 2nd, Sidney, and 3rd, Jaden!  All 3rd graders received special pencils for doing a nice job.  Tough choice to choose the top three!

High school art classes traveled to the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska for Celebrate Creativity.  This function is provided in partnership with the Joslyn Art Museum and the Omaha Symphony.  Students signed up for workshops, toured the museum and finished the day listening to the Omaha symphony.  It was an enjoyable time for students and sponsors.  Adult sponsors were Carmen Spitsnogle, Sharon Gydesen, and Catherine Klecan,  Our driver was Marlene Woken.

Art Club had an adventure at Roca Scary Farm.  Students started the evening off with a hotdog and marshmallow roast followed by various scary stops!   Sponsors were Melissa Heart, Joyce Wenzbauer, and Mrs. Klecan.  Our driver was George Rempel.  A spookstacular time was had by all.
