McKinney Demonstrates Clay Techniques to 5th Graders
Mr. Patrick McKinney visited the 5th grade art class to demonstrate clay techniques.
On March 28, 2017 Patrick McKinney visited the 5th grade art class. He demonstrated to the students how to cut clay with a wire tool, shape it into a ball, and then use your thumb to open the ball up into a pinch-push pot. He also directed the students on how to gently smooth the clay, how thick to make the walls, and how to draw designs in the clay with a needle tool. The 5th graders created really nice pinch-push pots and sincerely thanked Mr. McKinney for his time.
