Junior High Football Ends Season with a Victory
The Junior High football team finished their season with a 32-6 win vs Sterling on October 12. All of the boys contributed in the victory. After a blocked punt, Austin Jurgens started the scoring in the first quarter with a rushing touchdown, followed by a Cooper Ebeling PAT run. Ebeling scored a rushing touchdown later in the quarter, which was followed by a Jurgens PAT run.
In the second quarter Jacob Meyer picked up a Jet fumble and returned it for a touchdown. Paxton Mohr followed with a PAT catch from a Turner Faxon pass. The score was 24-0 at halftime.
In the third quarter Meyer scored again on a pass from Faxon. Korey Theye followed with a PAT catch of a Faxon pass.
The team had a good season going 3 and 2, and only had eleven boys out this year. All of the boys improved and enjoyed a fun season. Coach McMurray and Coach Meyerle thank the boys for their efforts and hope more boys participate next year to allow for the team to scrimmage in practice.
