Board members took the Oath of office and signed a written copy.  Jill Scheele had taken the oath and signed a copy prior to the meeting.

I.h. Selection of Official Newspaper, Legal Counsel and Repository  

Motion Passed:  To retain KSB School Law, retain the Beatrice Daily Sun as the official newspaper, retain the State Bank of Odell as the official repository, and to appoint Superintendent Meyerle as the Attendance Officer and the Federal Programs Director. Passed with a motion by Dean Engelman and a second by Toni Landenberger.

Corina Lottman presented a student report on various student activities.

II.b. Principal's Report  

Mr. Prososki reported on AQuESST data, enrollment numbers, DIBELS Data, the ESSA Act, NeSA Writing, and Special Programs Enrollment Data.

IV.a. Technology Update   

Mr. Prososki reported on the ESU 5 Programmer Academy.

IV.b. Facility Update  

Mr. Meyerle gave an update on a pipe break at the elementary.  He will gather some numbers on addressing some problem areas at both sites.  He also gave an update on the publication of bids for a fitness center in Odell, and a timeline for the possible project which included a start date in March 2016 and a completion date of June 15, 2016.

Mr. Meyerle noted that he would like to trade one of the district's buses for a new 65 passenger bus with AC that could be used for both routes and activities.

VII.a. Approve the Teacher Negotiation Agreement  

Motion Passed:  To approve the Teacher Negotiated Agreement with the DOEA for 2016-17 and 2017-18. Passed with a motion by Paul Kostal and a second by Chad Lottman.

The teacher base for 2016-17 is $34,050 and for 2017-18 is $34,950.

VII.b. Set Superintendent salary for 2016-17  

Motion Passed:  To increase Mr. Meyerle's salary by 4.44% to $117,525 for 2016-17. Passed with a motion by Chad Lottman and a second by Paul Kostal.
