SchoolMessenger Notification System SMS Optin Process

Diller-Odell Public Schools has contracted with SchoolMessenger, which will replace the School Reach system put in place last school year.   The SchoolMessenger system is designed to automatically notify parents for reasons that impact the safety and academic performance of students via phone, email and text messages.

Diller-Odell Public School can deliver this important information to you via SMS text messaging.  In order to participate in the SMS text service you must indicate your willingness to receive text messages to your phone. The process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete.

1-Simply text any one of the following words to thenumber 68453: subscribe, optin, yes

2- You’ll know you were successful if you receive the following reply message:

You’re now registered with SchoolMessenger notification service…”

3-You’ll want to repeat the opt-in process for any wireless numbers that you wish to include.

If we have a cell phone number on file for you, and you do not participate in the opt-in process described above, you should receive a one-time opt-in invitation SMS message on August 19th. This is to comply with wireless carrier requirements and to protect you against unsolicited text messages. The message you receive will be similar to the following:

“Diller-Odell Public School messages. Reply Y for aprx 3 msgs/mo. Txt HELP 4    info.

Msg&data rates may apply. See schoolmessenger.com/tm”

To opt out of all text messages from SchoolMessenger, reply with STOP to the opt-in message or visit www.schoolmessenger.com/tm.

Standard text message rates apply. To learn more about SchoolMessenger, please visit www.schoolmessenger.com or contact your child’s school office.
