The Board reviewed and discussed policies 6001-6020. Toni L. moved to adopt policies 6001-6020. Paul K. seconded the motion. MCU.

Mr. Prososki reported on the status of NSSRS reporting that he will be doing in June.
Mr. Meyerle reported on the status of several summer facility projects and the plan to install a new phone system.
Discussion was held on having a representative from the Ball Association present a plan for using the east backstop in Odell for other uses. The Board realizes the ground in the area needs to be improved for the space to be utilized.
Mr. Meyerle suggested that the junior high portion of awards night be moved from the high school piece. A date prior or after high school graduation will be explored. The Board directed Mr. Meyerle to insure there would not be a sports banquet after one sports season, but not the others, as occurred last year. The Board noted the accomplishments of the fall sports teams, but wants awards given at Awards Night, and does not want a banquet held after only one of the sports seasons.
The Board also discussed the possibility of building a fitness center in each community, where memberships would be sold to community members. The venture will be explored to see what financial commitment each community could make. The Board feels that such a building at each site would be beneficial to students in both communities and the communities themselves. Mr. Meyerle will set up a time for Board members to view what has been done at neighboring small schools. The possible projects will be discussed further.
Dean E. moved to pay bills. Paul K. seconded the motion. MCU.
Jill S. moved to adjourn the meeting. Dean E. seconded the motion. MCU.
President Gary Stohs adjourned the meeting at 8:53 p.m.

The Board of Education will usually adhere to the sequence of the published agenda, but reserves the right to adjust the order of items if necessary and may elect to amend the agenda as deemed necessary.
