2015 ESU 5 Elementary Quiz Bowl
On Wednesday, March 25th two teams of 5th and 6th graders competed in the inarguable ESU 5 Elementary Quiz Bowl; that was held at Thayer Central Schools. There were 11 teams that competed from 7 different schools within the ESU 5 region. It stated with a round robin play and based on that outcome seeded you for a single elimination tournament. Diller-Odell Team A was made up of Allison Engelman, Madelyn Meyerle, Jadyn Schultis, and Korey Theye. Team B consisted of Madeline Swanson, Mallory Denner, Kellen Gegg, Addison Heidemann, and Brianna Weers.
Team A went 1-6 and earned the number 10 seed, while Team B went 6-0 and earned the number 1 seed. In the tournament, Team A won their first round game, but ended up loosing the second round game to the eventual runners up of the tournament. Team B had a first round bye and ended up going 3-0 in the tournament placing first. Team A finished with a record of 2-7, while Team A finished 9-0. Both teams did an excellent job and represented Diller-Odell Schools with pride.
