Third and Fourth Graders Attend Homestead National Monument Quarter Launch
The 3rd and 4th grade classes attended the Homestead Quarter Launch at the Beatrice High School. The students listened to the BHS choir, BHS band, the UNL Big Red Singers, and many speakers. Each student received a Homestead quarter.
The Homestead quarter is part of the United States Mint's "America the Beautiful Quarters Program." The Homestead quarter is the 26th quarter minted in this program. The program started in 2010 and will conclude in 2021 with a total of 56 different national parks and national sites being honored.
