Budget Hearing Minutes

September 10, 2014

President Gary Stohs called the Hearing to order at 7:20 p.m.  and recognized the posted Open Meetings Act document.  Present:  Gary Stohs, Toni Landenberger, Chad Lottman, Jill Scheele, and Dean Engelman.   Absent: Paul Kostal.  Administrator Mike Meyerle was present.

The purpose of the Hearing was to receive public comment on the proposed 2014-2015 district budget.  No comment was received.

Toni L. moved to adjourn.   Dean E. seconded the motion.  MCU.   President Gary Stohs adjourned the Hearing at 7:25 p.m.

 

Tax Request Minutes

September 10, 2014

President Gary Stohs called the Hearing to order at 7:25 p.m. and recognized the posted Open Meetings Act document.  Present: Gary Stohs, Toni Landenberger, Chad Lottman, Jill Scheele, and Dean Engelman.   Absent: Paul Kostal.  Administrator Mike Meyerle was present.

The purpose of the Hearing was to receive public comment on the proposed 2014-2015 property tax request.  No public comment was received.

Toni L. moved to adjourn.   Chad L. seconded the motion.  MCU.  President Gary Stohs adjourned the Hearing at 7:30 p.m.

 

Diller-Odell Regular BOE Meeting

September 10, 2014

President Gary Stohs called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and recognized the posted Open Meetings Act document.  Present: Gary Stohs, Toni Landenberger, Chad Lottman, Dean Engelman and Jill Scheele.  Absent: Paul Kostal.  Administrator Mike Meyerle was present.  Visitors present: Rita Becker, Brady McMurray, Josie Vitosh, John Hobbs, Tyler Roberts, Austin Vitosh, Zac Rash, Mackenzie Gydesen, Marcus Eickmann, Calvin Hennerberg, Camille Hennerberg, Jordan Herbst, and Lance Lawton.

Jill S. moved to approve the minutes as presented. Chad L. seconded the motion.  MCU.

Calvin Hennerberg presented a student report on student activities.  He also represented the Class of 2015 in making a request to the Board to allow the Class of 2015 to have a sneak trip of more than 24 hours and allowing for it to be overnight.  President Stohs noted that the request is against current policy.  The Board will take the request under advisement.

Mr. Prososki had a written report distributed to the Board.

Dean E. moved to approve policies #3019, 3020, 3021, 3022, 3023, 3025, 3026, 3027, 3028, 3029, 3030, 3032, 3033, 3034, 3035, 3036, and 3037.  Toni L. seconded the motion.  MCU.

Mr. Meyerle informed the Board that he ran the ad again for bids on the possible track project.  The new due date for bids is September 23, 2014.

Chad L. moved to adopt the 2014-15 budget as presented.  Dean E. seconded the motion.  MCU.

Toni L. moved to set the property tax levy at .614925 for the General Fund and .079731 for the Special Building Fund.  Chad L. seconded the motion.  MCU.

Toni L. moved to pay bills.  Jill S. seconded the motion.  MCU.

The Board discussed the possibility of some members attending the State School Board Conference in November.

Dean E. moved to adjourn the meeting. Jill S. seconded the motion.  MCU.

President Gary Stohs adjourned the meeting at 8:36 p.m.

The next Regular Board meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., October 13, 2014 at the Elementary Media Center in Diller.    The Board of Education will usually adhere to the sequence of the published agenda, but reserves the right to adjust the order of items if necessary and may elect to amend the agenda as deemed necessary.
