Students, Staff and Board of Education Members Take on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

The Diller Odell School Board answered the challenge of the elementary students on Wednesday, August 27th for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.  The School Board rasied $150 for ALS and challenges the Diller-Odell Elementary teachers, the Wymore Southern School Board, and the Tri-County School Board.

 

On Friday, August 22nd, over forty elementary students participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge at half-time of the Football Scrimmage. The event was hosted by the Diller-Odell High School Student Council. Students were asked to bring donations and their efforts totaled over $220. The elementary students challenged the Diller-Odell School Board, the elementary janitor and the two cooks at the elementary, giving them a week to prepare. The students are looking forward to seeing the challenge videos.

 

 

 

Eighty-five students, faculty and staff participated in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge raising a total of  $437.14 to help fund research to fighting a disease that affects so many on Tuesday, August 19th. DOHS/JH challenged Southern High School, Freeman High School, Southern Valley High School and Hanover High School to raise money and complete the challenge in 48 hours.
