Marshmallow Towers
The Junior High students put their problem solving and teamwork skills to the test in English class this week. In a timed activity, small groups of students were challenged to build the tallest spaghetti noodle tower with a marshmallow at the top. The only other material allowed in the competition was masking tape. Students used a variety of strategies in the contest. The tallest towers measured 26 1/2", 34", and 34 1/2".
During the activity the students realized the importance of every team member's contribution.
